Lock your Outlook for iPad or iPhone with Touch ID or Face ID by following these steps.
- Make sure that Touch ID or Face ID is turned on for your device.
- Open the Outlook app and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Preferences.
- Tap the “Require Touch ID” button to enable Touch ID for unlocking your device.
Ensure that Touch ID or Facebook is enabled on your device. If not, open the Settings app and navigate to the Touch ID & Passcode option. Then, select the Add a Fingerprint option and follow the on-screen instructions to add a fingerprint. If your device doesn’t have Touch ID support, you can add Face ID by finding the corresponding options in the Settings app.
After you add your account successfully, open the Outlook app and tap Home before Inbox. You can also swipe from left to right to expand the menu, then tap Settings gear.
Now scroll down to the bottom to find the Preferences section. Here you can enable Require Touch ID.
If you are using an iPad Pro, you will see Face ID instead of Touch ID. Whenever you open the Outlook app, you will find the following screen.
