1] Configure Focused Inbox

Your inbox is split into two tabs with Focused Inbox- one for your most important emails, and the other for the rest. Focused Inbox is turned on by default.

Tap Settings.

In the Outlook mobile app for iOS, you can choose to organize your mail by thread. This arranges your messages as conversational threads based on the message subject. Threading is turned on by default, but you can turn it off if you prefer.

Tap Settings.

Scroll down to ‘Organize mail by thread’. There, toggle the setting.

4] Change or update Outlook notifications

The Head to ‘Settings,’ then select ‘Notifications.’ Scroll down your app list to ‘Outlook’ and update your notification preferences.

5] Change the Calendar view

The calendar view in Outlook can be easily changed to suit your liking and working style. For example, you can easily switch between day, week, or month views, or change your work week start day and time. To do so, simply switch to the Calendar view.

7] Hide the built-in email and calendar apps

You might have more than one email account but not use all of them at the same time. As such, it’s better to hide the unused email and calendar apps, not in use, currently. Here’s how to do it. MailKeep your finger pressed on the native email app on your device, whether that’s Mail or Calendar. This way, you can be sure that you’re always using the most up-to-date version of the app with the latest security features.

The apps are shaking, so drag one on top of the other to create a new folder. You can’t remove these apps, so they’ll stay on your device.

8] Add Outlook calendar widget

To add the Outlook calendar widget to your iOS device, swipe down from the top of your screen to bring down the notification center. Then, swipe to the right to view your widgets and scroll to the bottom.

The Outlook app is listed as a widget. You can add the app as a widget by pressing + adjacent to it. To access your widgets, swipe down or swipe to the left-most screen on the home screen.

9] See conversations and notifications from your favorite contacts

Adding contacts to favorites allows you to quickly find and send emails to them. To mark a contact as a favorite: 1. From the People or Companies tab, select the contact. 2. Click the down arrow next to the contact’s name. 3. Select Add to Favorites.

To add a contact to your favorites, open their profile card and select the star in the upper right corner. You can add multiple favorite contacts in the same way. Once done, you can view all recent conversations with them displayed before your other messages.

10] Keep your Outlook app up-to-date

It is always advisable to keep your app up-to-date. The Outlook mobile app can be updated from your device’s app store. If you find the ‘Open’ option instead of ‘Update’, then you are on the latest version of Outlook for iOS and there is no need to update.
