Unblock and Recover a blocked or suspended Outlook Hotmail or Microsoft account has been suspended. This usually occurs when Microsoft feels that your mail account has been compromised or is being misused by someone to send out a lot of junk mail. In such an eventuality, you may find that you are locked out of your own email account, and you may see the following message, instead of your familiar Inbox.

To unblock your account, click on Continue. Here you can verify that you own this account by two-factor authentication. You can ask Microsoft to send you a verification code by mail to your alternate email Id or SMS it to your mobile number.
Microsoft has introduced two new methods of account recovery: linking your Hotmail account to your PC or mobile phone for enhanced security, or following some Hotmail Sign In tips. My account was blocked. The Microsoft Store India database may have been compromised recently, so Microsoft blocked all mail IDs as a precaution. I don’t know the exact reason, but the account is still blocked.
I chose the “Send to mobile phone” option, and waited for the verification code. However, after a half hour had passed and I still had not received the code, I decided to choose the “Send to alternate mail ID” option. Within a minute, I received the verification code! So if you have both options available to you, you can decide which one you want to use.
After you receive the verification code, enter it in and click Continue.
If this is not the first time your Live account has been blocked, you will receive the following message.
The Hotmail team is probably showing this message as a precautionary measure to ensure that users’ Windows computers have not been compromised and to ensure that their Windows Updates are turned on. However, since I was confident that this did not apply to me, I clicked on Continue.
In the next step, you will be asked to set a new password. Please choose a strong password.
Please review your alternate email ID and mobile number and confirm them. Please check them, select the appropriate response and click on Continue.
