You could always use as many as possible, but once you’ve reached about 5 you’ve probably reached the upper limit for satisfactorily cooling your hardware and seating area.

2022 Update: We expect our favorite case to still have a lot of fans. That’s because it has four excellent color options, well designed airflow through the case, and very clean cable management that’s never in the way — not to mention you can customize the front panel look with a variety of different colored lights.

The only thing we noticed is that you may have trouble buying this case (which was donated by Cooler Master) as it appears to sell out quickly and then be listed for way more money than its original retail price.

If this happens, check whether Corsair sells a similar model (we found another comparable option from Corsair called the H100i Pro).

For a sub-$100 case, the 100R is an impressive mid-tower value option. The 100R has crisp paint finishes, a windowed side panel, LED lighting and room for multiple graphics cards and water coolers.

There is one included 120mm fan (which in most scenarios will be enough to keep your PC off the danger level when it comes down to RPMs) but if you feel that you need/want more cooling power, you can purchase additional fans for extra airflow.

When it comes to builds in the price range that the 100R sits in at $999, you’re not going to find a gaming rig. This configuration is meant for power users with any kind of content creation aspirations that want a bit more graphics power than what an average Ultrabook can offer.

Price is not the only concern when shopping for a new desktop computer. Price is typically one of the most dominating concerns, but that does not mean it is the only concern buyers should have.

If you’re looking for an air cooling setup, then this case is ideal. It comes with 5 high-quality silent fans already fitted, as well as room for up to 7 additional fans if more are needed.

In addition, the case comes with a three direction switch that allows you to choose between cooling your CPU and/or GPU with ease.

In this way even if you want to water cool your system in the future, there’s no need to worry about removing the fans or radiator since you’ve got those already installed!

We don’t often talk about individual cases. That’s mostly because it’s such a personal decision and has to be tailored to your specific needs and goals. So we won’t say that the HAF X is better than the Cooler Master case or vice versa.

But we do know that there are differences between them which might affect what you need come choosing one! The HAF X features an HPTX motherboard, which stands for high-performance technology extended.
