Method – 1: Delete the Backup Files via File History

However, the accumulated backup files will take up more of the system space. You can also clean them up via the File History.
Step no: 1 Press the Win + R key to open up the Run box. Now type in: control. And Press Enter.
Step no: 2 When inside the Control Panel, simply click System and Security and After that click File History.
In Step no: 3 When in the File History window, click on Advanced settings on your left side.
Step no: 4 After when entering the Advanced Settings, click on Clean up versions. Once when the File History

Fhmanagew.exe is a tool for file history management. In case Executing it in Command Prompt can directly delete all the file versions within a specified number of days.

Step no: 2 After opening your Command Prompt, type in one of the commands given below according to the time period of the version you need to delete and after that press Enter.
If More than 1 month: FhManagew.exe -cleanup 30
When its more than 3 months: FhManagew.exe -cleanup 90
If More than 6 months: FhManagew.exe -cleanup 180
When More than 1 year (default option): FhManagew.exe -cleanup 365
Step no: 3 If the previous version of the files can’t be found, then try deleting the recent files. Example, You have to execute the command line – FhManagew.exe -cleanup 30.
